This module introduces foundational concepts essential to NEBB Technical Commissioning practice. Participants will learn the distinctions between process commissioning and NEBB Technical Commissioning, as well as the differences between energy audits and Retro‑Commissioning (RCx). The course also provides an overview of common commissioning instruments, including proper use, limitations, and documentation requirements. Additionally, the module establishes expectations for professional conduct when working in the field and outlines critical jobsite safety principles, including PPE, mechanical and electrical safety, and OSHA requirements.
