This introductory course is designed for entry level professionals in the field of building control systems commissioning. The curriculum provides a comprehensive overview of NEBB commissioning processes, technical documentation, and field procedures specific to control systems:
• Introduce core concepts of building control systems, including DDC fundamentals, sequence of operations, and integration with HVAC equipment.
• Explain the commissioning lifecycle for control systems, including pre-functional and functional tests, control loop verification, and response checks for Building Automation Systems.
• Review methods for evaluating as-built documentation, verifying points lists, system alarms, trends, schedules, and graphics.
• Demonstrate the use of commissioning tools, checklists, and data collection devices for hands-on diagnostics and troubleshooting.
