The standard air flow capture hood is made to read airflow under very specific conditions and applications, however it is often mis-applied in a variety of situations. The purpose of this block of instruction is to explain how the majority of air flow capture hoods approved by NEBB are designed to function, and explain their limitations. The session will further explain how to properly read airflow on inlets / outlets that the flow hoods are not designed to read. This session has information provided by Testo, TSI/Alnor, Dwyer and Shortridge, and not just Evergreen Telemetry. Finally, this session will teach how to properly report the non-standard readings.
